When I was asked to volunteer my time to the lake community beautification fund, there was no way I could say no. This is probably because I am a little bit more invested in the community than you may think! Actually, so invested that I might be moving there with my family next month!
I took this gig for 2 reasons. To meet some of the other families in the community and hopefully get some fantastic Fall portraits. Both of my wishes came true. With so much help from some of the members of the Lake of the Forest committee AND my mother, it was a total success. The front entrance had been transformed into an autumn masterpiece, decorated with orange, white and silver pumpkins AND a few playful looking gourds.
It was slow starting, but in the end – I met and photographed 3 families.
